Surroundings

Set in the rugged north Pembrokeshire countryside means there are walks from the doorstep - head up hill and take a stroll onto the mountain where you'll enjoy spectacular views over Newport and Fishguard Bays. Climb up onto Carn Ffoi (an ancient hill fort) where you'll see the summit of Carningli in the distance.

A walk on the mountain above Garn Isaf Stone bridge over river Ceunant, a 10 min walk from Garn Isaf.

If the coastline is more preferable, then head down to Parrog in Newport where you can join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Walk along the estuary to head north towards St Dogmaels or walk along the old quay wall to follow the path towards Fishguard - either way, you'll be stunned by the cliff top views that make this section of the coastal path so special.

We have had a really enjoyable stay here at Garn Isaf, a lovely cottage with the most stunning surrounding views.
The weather was windy and wet at times, but this did not spoil the many wonderful places this area has to offer. The girls and the dogs had a fabulous time at the beaches we visited and were all tired out at the end of the day!
Thank you to John for his great local knowledge and who was lovely to chat to - someone who is truly passionate about his local area and community.
We really miss waking up to that amazing sea view!
Bronwyn will miss seeing the ponies Toffee and Carlo's friendly faces over the fence every day.
