The accommodation and location
Hidden away on a single lane road, Fernhill is a superb detached holiday house in a secluded, less trodden idyll just half a mile from Newport's centre.
Draw your gaze away from the view, and inside you'll discover an open plan kitchen / dining area with an equally impressive view out across Newport Bay.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, dish washer, microwave and large fridge, and the extending dining table can easily seat 9 people - although there may be a grapple or two about who gets to enjoy the views! There is also a wood burning stove and a comfy sofa for nights away from the TV.
Just off the kitchen, is a utility / dogs area with a further fridge. There is also a washing machine and dryer in the separate drying room, plus a downstairs bathroom (with shower) off the washroom.
In the living area, you'll find ample comfy seating around a second wood burning stove - ideal for cosy nights in front of the TV!
There is also a twin bedroom on the ground floor, which is accessed from the living room.
Upstairs, you will find the master ensuite bedroom, a triple bedroom, a twin / double room, and a further bathroom.
Guests staying in the master ensuite bedroom can enjoy another wonderful view across Newport Bay.
Outside is a good sized garden area which is bounded by a stream. There is a patio area with views of the bay, a gas fired BBQ, plus a parking area for two cars. You'll also notice gated access to the field, which has a footpath leading along the top of the fields towards the Carn Cwn wishing well on the slopes of Carningli Mountain.
You'll also find an outside hot water shower - perfect for washing muddy paws, sandy children and all manner of beach paraphernalia.
Where is Fernhill?
Quietly sitting on the outskirts of Town, watching over the bay below, yet only a short walk from many excellent pubs, eateries, galleries and shops.
From the road outside, uphill takes you on to Carningli Mountain, and downhill to Newport and the coast.
